I do not spend much time reading the town crier] Just a little bit of early info for you. Within the next month or so we expect to add at least four new skills/spells to the game. We are going to add a little diversity to the classes by creating a new ability for each class which is only available to the people who chose that class as their primary class. This should help us bring new spells and abilities into the game that otherwise might be a little too powerful when given to all classes. It might also help us fill in some deficiencies with specific classes as well. Here is an early glimpse at our initial "prime only" abilities: (keep in mind, these details may change in time) Thief primary: the circle skill. Combat only skill like backstab. 3x damage, 5mv cost. quite a bit better than kick, but with a 5mv cost. -It is not designed as a stab-mob type of skill, -and therefore is not useful in that context. *keep in mind, thiefs already have one prime-only bonus.... they have the best backstab. Mage Primary: mirror image This spell creates mirrors of yourself (or illusions) You can cast up to 4 mirrors(depending on levels) each absorb one hit (physical or spell damage). casting cost: 25 duration: indefinite -Useful for a mage to prevent a round or two of damage. -Can help with soloing or protecting from a CF while grouped. -This spell cannot be used in conjunction with backstab Cleric Primary: dark mace This is similar to the long forgotten 'magical hammer' spell. It creates a dark mace that does full damage through sanc. Stats: 3d6 +2hit +2mana regen Proc: possible turn-undead on undead mobs. Warrior Primary: parry While parrying, it reduces the warriors attacks by one yet provides a small chance of parrying the mobs first hit. Again.. email me directly if you have comments you'd like me to read: hayward@slothmud.org As always, send new ideas to that address! -- Jake | ||
