Plus vs Hexoid

Давайте не будем голословными. Много рассуждали
о преимуществах и недостатках разных классо.
Почему бы не продемонстрировать всё это на практике?
Вашему вниманию предлагается лог моего поединка
с Hexoid'ом. Сразу должен извиниться, это ПОЛНЫЙ
лог, в том числе пробежки до MatterHorn. Зато
любой может убедиться - тут всё по честному.
Итак, всё дело уложилось в два рана.
Давайте устроим соревнование - кто сможет
сделать это лучше. Было бы неплохо, если бы
господа аватары тоже поучаствовали, показали бы,
насколько аватар превосходит обычного чара :)

Cavern of Visions
You step into a small cavern with a rock-strewn floor. There are a
number of large boulders scattered about the rooms as well. A few
stray stalactites grow from the ceiling. A flat surface on the far wall
swirls with light that gradually takes form and you can make out images
changing and swirling one after another in a dizzying, yet spectacular
manner.

This is the west gate of the port city of Bal Harbor. A wide dirt roadway
leads in between a pair of squarish-looking guard towers into the city to the
east, and to west disappears into a flat grassy plain. Visible to the far
west is what appears to be a forest or jungle that rims the entire western
horizon. To the east, the roadway can be seen to lead into a distant town
square.

Main Street
Red and gold bricks have been intertwined in a spiral pattern to form the
base of the road. A large brass pole with two signs hanging from it stands
here and several wooden poles with lanterns hanging from them have also been
placed sporadically along the roads.

Bright red bricks have been used to form a road here. The bricks are
perfectly smooth and run in a zigzag design. A small patch of grass has
begun to grow in front of the shop to the west while the side of a building
stands to the east. Large wooden poles holding lanterns have been placed
randomly here to provide light.

square.

The wide trail disappears into a thick, noisy jungle to the west. You
can see some huge trees deep inside of it. The raucous noises of birds
and animals pour forth from the jungle, which evidently teems with life.

part of the jungle. A small, quiet path goes north from the main trail as

You are at the base of the trunk of an immense tree, at least twenty
feet in diameter. The trunk is covered with vines, mosses and kudzu,
which you could probably climb. Ancient roots stretch out across the

running east and west.

The trail runs east, south, and west from here. It goes over a dubious-

looking log to the west, where a north-south chasm is located. The rotten
leaves obscure the trail. A huge tree is east of here, and far to the
south you hear rushing water.

You are walking across a log which bridges a small ditch. The log is
ancient and rotten, covered with colorful fungi and little bugs. The ditch
below is piled high with leaves, making it difficult to tell how deep it

above, you can see a branch from a large tree to the east sticking out into
the clear area.
The trail you are on leads across a rotten log to the east, and to a large
tree to the west. You think you hear water to the south, but the jungle
is too thick in that direction to see anything.

Another tall tree grows here. This one does not look climbable, although
you can see movement in the branches high above you. The tree is very healthy,
and doesn't have nearly as many parasitic creepers and mosses as some of the
other trees in the area. Trails lead north, east, and west. To the east,
you see a spot of sunlight, while in the other directions the paths lead
into the jungle floor darkness.

The small, twisty jungle trail gets wider as the vegetation gets more
sparse. You are reaching the western edge of the jungle. To the south,
you hear a river, while the trail goes to the top of a cliff to the west.

you see more jungle. The walls of this valley are barely visible far
to the west. A mist obscures most of the details, but you think you
see large forms moving around down there. The river runs west along the

upper jungle.

impenetrable jungle grows right up to the top of the cliff, with roots
in some places actually hanging out of the cliff wall. A narrow, almost
tunnel like path leads north and down. Looking down into the valley,
a thick mist is all you can see. You hear the roar of a waterfall far
to the south.

The jungle looms up behind you to the south in a unbroken wall of tall
trees and heavy undergrowth. You are standing in a small clearing at the
edge of a great valley. From the clearing, a dirt road winds its way down
the sides of the valley and to the floor several hundred feet below. It
cuts through the tropical vegetation like an ugly white scar, and no plant or
animal life crosses its plain. The road ends at the foot of an incredibly
tall and thin pinnacle of rock that has been twisted into strange shapes
by the forces of nature.

The dirt path meanders its way down the side of the valley and through
tall trees. As you continue down the sides of the valley you can make out
the impressive form of the matterhorn you saw before to the north.

tall line of trees on either side of the path keep you from wandering into
the surrounding jungle.

line to the rock pinnacle ahead. Towering vegetation and tropical plants

clearing here, and the path continues straight north and south through
it. Towering trees loom up like watchful sentinels, and the sounds of
tropical birds and monkeys echo off from the distance. The thick

into the jungle.

above. To the east and west, smaller paths cut through the wall
of trees and disappear into darkness. These paths are covered by

form of the matterhorn thrusting up into the sky like a bent finger
beckoning you onward.

enter a clearing that surrounds the matterhorn. The awesome mountain-
like matterhorn is a towering mass of rock that has been carved by the
forces of nature into a thin, bent pinnacle of rock. The matterhorn
stretches upwards to the edges of your vision. At the base of the mountain
you can see a cave-like opening.

You are at a gaping hole in the side of the matterhorn. The rock surges
up and around the cave opening and into the sky in a manner that makes
you feel very small. The opening extends inwards into darkness. You
can hear what sounds like tapping noises coming from inside.

You step into the large natural opening, and allow your eyes to
adjust to the dimness inside. You are in a large cave with stalactites.
Large rocks litter the floor, making progress difficult. The sheer size
of this area and the fact that a pair of tunnels lead off into darkness
to the north and west makes you wonder how this area fits within
the narrow base of the matterhorn.

is wide enough for only one person at a time, and continues more or less
straight north into the mass of rock.

stray stalactites grow from the ceiling. A flat surface on the far wall
swirls with light that gradually takes form and you can make out images
changing and swirling one after another in a dizzying, yet spectacular
manner.

horizon. To the east, the roadway can be seen to lead into a distant town
square.
