The stench of elephant and giraffe dung rises from the ground, giving
an unneeded sting to the quality of the air. The horizon can't be seen
at all through the abundant plant life here, but somewhere in the distant
north on this path is a wooded land, and out to the east is what looks from
here like a desert. Grasses higher than the tallest humans block passage
everywhere but directly in those two directions.
