Good morning, Brian.

In past two months i was thinking about this letter and if i should send it
at all. It will be a quite long one, please read it whole. You know i'm
not a big fan of Splork, but nowadays not only me feels that something goes
wrong with him.

Below are facts and thoughts about things which happened not long ago.
I'll also quote some immortal guidelines as well as wizlist letters (i hope
you have a whole archive of those, to find an original)

Maybe i should started from accident between me and him, which resulted my
wipe, but lets not rise that question again, its sad that i got wiped, but
i used to it. There will be only mortal-related issues, which include:

- loutishness to players
- changing of areas to benefit his mortals
- leak of imminfo?

Well, let me quote something first:

Now let's look at the thread about charm, which i started at english crier,
at http://www.slothmud.org/sloth/discus/messages/5/2431.html?1069864414
Look at post signed(?) by someone named Jeffcoins at Tuesday, November 25,
2003 - 12:44 pm, it doesn't differ much from a plain anon, but while signed
by almost innocent name, it should look more legitimate.

This post mention facts which are known to not too much people, namely:
There was a trick (maybe you call it bug, but anyways) in Rita's Nexialism
Tower - which allowed us to use an ethereal mob (chindee) to cycle almost
any mob. It was found, it was fixed. Among the mortals i know two people
which were aware of chindee - myself and shimbo. Among the immortals there
were Splork, Rita (which got informed by splork, i believe), that's all.
Well, lets look into the post:

> Have you ever stopped and thought why some
> of this stuff gets removed and others who use them on occasion no
> longer can such as me? Could it possibly be because one group of
> people consistantly abuse them 24/7 till they are noticed by the

Watch the sentence about SS tower mob, 99% mortals call that area Nexia,
not ss tower. Since chindee thing was somewhat unknown to a wide society,
that means either jeff is splork himself (which goes against Blaster's
letter i've quoted above) or a friend of him, which KNOWS the whole story
about chindee (which means splork passes out imminfo).

Both cases are unacceptable behaviour for a person which immorted, thus
agreed with immortal rules. Furthermore, he's a creator - he should obey
those rules not formally, but really. What will people say if they cannot
trust _creator_?

Another recent thing is those infamous lava slaves in his area which got
1.8mil gold each after orion was cycling a queen. I wont surprise if that
was made to allow Flight to buy another grandpalace? Either that was an
intentional cheat or just a plain mistake, so if it was a mistake - how
could an immortal be THAT uncareful and allow such a thing to happen?

Another somewhat forgotten thing is restricts on sleeves of laughing rogue,
which Next forged 1st (he was 30 tard) and was able to wear. Day after, he
discovered that restricts were raised and he cant wear it anymore. God,
don't say me that it was done because of balance issues. Just a plain
personal dislike, which doesn't suit anyone.

Now let's remember "the rise of ubertank". During period of Flight's
childhood from newbie to triple 40 some areas were altered. First, fens
were closed and revamped right after flight left valkyre, got stats, and
enough levels. There were rumors that fens were overrated and players got
too much exp there. Yes, maybe. But if he knew that (and checked as an
immortal) - why the hell he didn't fix it BEFORE levelling Flight in there?
An answer can be taken right from immrules: TO BENEFIT YOUR MORTAL.

Next, he was getting his 3x40 in undead town, needless to say, after he did
it, the area was revamped because of the same reason: too easy, too much
exp, etc. Again, why this wasn't done BEFORE? An answer is the same: to
benefit his mortal.

Some words about areas. The story about alexanderpalace.org is known to
almost everyone, so i wont even bother to remind that the descs were stolen
from a copyrighted work. Fine. Also, at first, rlyeh was way too
unbalanced and it took me about month or even more of quite a constant
bitching about overexp either on wiznet and in mortal form. Yes, i got a
benefit of some levels from it myself, but anyways i'm not THAT big fan of
exp, i prefer good written areas and interesting stories, not copypasted
descs and three-liners describing directions, etc. Also, i'm not a big fan
of 1.5mil STAB mobs with 25k coins for 36 prime thief (which were gugs)

Next, infernite mines. Slaves/Guards were overexp too, got adjusted
hopefully. Not few ago they got adjusted to even have no exp at all, but
shitload of coins. How could a creator be such careless to forget even to
approve a mob which he has altered?

Pyramid Expansion aka Yuan-ti Crypt. Well, 18mil mob which can be easily
killed 2man by 2x40 th/ma and cl/ma. It might be okay on grenade days or
+dam potions, but not on regular basis, when we cycle him and cap each
time. About 12 stab 2 winds mobs ranging from 4 to 8 mils which can be
easily run by forementioned characters. I found it, i complained about it,
i was cycling it and complaining again. Believe that resulted transferral
of whole desert to lyme and revamping of it. Anyways, expansion wasn't
even touched! Same mobs, same insane exp, even for lymers.

Well, Desert. It's now 40mils 4man mobs with right tactics and only exp
available. With pushable mobs like sultan or ogre and area-procing priests.
Oh, a trickster's heaven. Got fixed, hopefully.

Not to mention constant snooping without any reasons.

Well, i don't really expect that anything will be done with that, its more
a question of conscience, but, if i were you, i'd thought about the whole
issue, even if the person like splork did quite much to the mud in whole.
And if not wiped, then will consider lowering his abilities,

Hoping for answer, Vladimir.

p.s Brian, i don't blackmail you, but think what players would feel when i
post it public? Or you totally uncare? Or maybe he's Chosen like Neo?
*sad sarcasm*

I certainly care about this game, but every story has two sides. Everyone
knows that. As you may have noticed, I'm not as involved in the
day-to-day administration of the game anymore. I've turned that over to
our current creators and the other immortals who are more active than I.

If you want to address your letter to someone, you would be better off
sending it to one of the more active admins, who are involved with the
day-to-day administrative activities. (Blaster maybe?)

Because I don't do the day-to-day administration, I cannot help you with
this. I will say that Splork, while not entirely liked by everyone, has
done plenty of good stuff for this game. I think our promoting him to
creator is a big indication of the confidence we have in his ability to do
the right thing for the game.
