clump feathers eagle fledgling
A large clump of feathers peeps maddeningly for food.
The eagle fledgling looks like as if it is constantly molting, as its feathers are skewed at odd angles. The chick is only a few days old, and has only grown to the size of a large dog. Its feet show the promise of the razor sharp talons to come. It opens its mouth wide and peeps at you, looking for a morsel to eat. An eagle fledgling is in an excellent condition.
