sand piper bird | |
A sand piper pecks between the pebbles for grubs.
This pathetically small gray bird darts around on the sand near the water's edge, constantly hunting for fresh grubs. His little head bobs up and down repeatedly as he stabs his beak into the ground. Three splayed forward- facing toes and a single rear talon leave their footprints all over the beach as he runs around. A sand piper is in an excellent condition.
