The smith takes bars of silvery metal from a box marked 'Surgeon's Wish'
and places them in a crucible over the fire. When they soften he grabs
them with two sets of tongs and pulls, separating the bars into smaller
pieces. Then he lets them cool upon the anvil and once cold they go to
a box marked 'Surgeon's Wish - Small'. The smith is a man in his fifties,
with light brown hair and a look of efficiency.
A veteran smith is in an excellent condition.
