Valkyre, Autumnal Forest
kender wandering | |
You sense a hidden life form in the room.
The kender, like most of his race, is both clever and diminutive. He can hide in the smallest places, and he is "light-fingered" -- curious, in his words. Indeed, he possesses an unhealthy portion of curiosity, which leads him to check everyone's belongings (and often forget to return them). As he strolls along the autumnal roads, he murmurs a merry tune, something about how good the roads are if the hoopak is new, and also how funny the minotaurs are if you call them bulls, and how nice the autumn is when the sun's in the sky, and maybe a dozen more tunes as well. The kender rolls a small copper disk over the back of his knuckles, a common exercise the kenders sometimes do to keep their fingers nimble. Not that they need much practice, anyway. In his left hand the kender carries an oaken hoopak almost as tall as its bearer. A wandering kender is in excellent condition.
